The Q4FY22 release of the Hospice Program for Evaluating Payment Patterns Electronic Report (PEPPER), which was distributed on April 5, 2023, included two new target areas that provide the average number of Medicare Part B claims paid during hospice episodes. To provide more information related to the two new target areas, the PEPPER Team produced the following three new Medicare Part B reports with details about the most commonly billed services at the national and state levels:
- National Top Medicare Part B Services – Hospices
- State Top Medicare Part B Services, Home – Hospices
- State Top Medicare Part B Services, Assisted Living Facility, Nursing Facility, and Skilled Nursing Facility – Hospices
As a reminder, all hospice-related reports are available on the “Data Resources for Hospices” page of PEPPER.cbrpepper.org. These reports are updated annually.
