If you’re involved in water safety for buildings, you’ll want to take advantage of a new and free training program developed by CDC and partners on creating a water management program to reduce the risk for Legionnaires’ disease in facilities. The Preventing Legionnaires’ Disease: A Training on Legionella Water Management Programs aligns with industry standards on managing risk for Legionella bacteria (ASHRAE 188).
This web-based, self-study program takes approximately a half hour to complete each module and an average of 3 hours to complete the training as a whole. You do not have to complete the training all at once. You can save your progress and come back to complete a module later. Continuing education units are available from the National Environmental Health Association (NEHA).
I’ve started this online course and find it to be most interesting. I think you will too.
