Back on March 18, 2020 (it seems like a year ago doesn’t it!), I blogged about the great resources available on the AMDA website.  One of those resources was updated a couple of days ago – Active Screening of Residents.  More common and less common signs and symptoms of COVID-19 in older adults were added based on information learned this past month.

Another very useful addition is Masking Video: Protecting Seniors: We are in this Together.  This is a 7 minute 27 second video on protecting seniors.  Here is the promotional verbiage for that video:

Physicians and community members in the Triangle region of North Carolina come together to provide face coverings for health care workers in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, retirement communities, and family care homes. Face coverings along with hand washing and social distancing slow the spread of COVID-19 among older adults.

You can also find these and more COVID-19 resources on their website.  There are numerous additions to this resource page during the month of April!
