For 25 years now, we’ve been recognizing and honoring the Assisted Living communities in the U.S. during this week in September. These communities provide a unique type of living opportunity for seniors and individuals with disabilities. The services and care that is provided in an AL residence is essential – I know this first-hand from experiences with my mother and my aunt. They were given the support needed to maintain their independence for as long as possible as well as choice and dignity.
COVID-19 has impacted all AL communities just as it has nursing homes and SNFs. We are truly all in this together. As staff, volunteers, families and friends, we want our AL communities to know we’re proud of the services and caring they provide. Caring is indeed Essential – now more than ever. Thank you for all you do each and every day!!
