The Minnesota Department of Health is proposing new rules governing assisted living facilities, Chapter 4659.  The new assisted living licensure will go into effect on August 1, 2021.

The proposed rules are available online at Assisted Living Facilities Proposed Rules — 10/8/20 (PDF). A Notice of Hearing will be published later this year, which will start a 30-day public comment period.  The proposed rules are 41 pages in length.

For more information please visit the MDH Assisted Living Licensure website.  You’ll find the link to submit comments to the proposed rule on this website.  You can also submit comments directly via this link.  Additionally, you can sign up to receive email notifications on MN AL updates on this same website.
