CMS has posted the COVID-19 nursing home data for week ending May 9, 2021.
The May 9th data shows 74 fewer resident deaths than the May 2nd report and 12 more staff deaths than reported for May 2nd.
LTC vaccinations (staff and residents) reported by the CDC COVID Data Tracker are fairly steady with a slight increase from last week.
A slight increase in the percentage of adults (general population) with at least one vaccination – 58.7% last week to 60.5% this week.
NHSN COVID-19 data as of 5:30am (ET) … May 17, 2021reflects a similar plateau, consistent with other data sources:

Another dashboard that I became aware of recently is maintained by AARP (American Association of Retired Persons) and is entitled AARP Nursing Home COVID-19 Dashboard.
“The COVID-19 pandemic has swept the nation, killing more than 183,000 residents and staff of nursing homes and other long-term care facilities. The AARP Public Policy Institute, in collaboration with the Scripps Gerontology Center at Miami University in Ohio, created the AARP Nursing Home COVID-19 Dashboard to provide four-week snapshots of the virus’ infiltration into nursing homes and impact on nursing home residents and staff, with the goal of identifying specific areas of concern at the national and state levels in a timely manner. This dashboard looks at five categories of impact and will be updated every month to track trends over time.”
The current data on the dashboard is reflective as of May 13, 2021.
