CMS has posted COVID-19 nursing home data for week ending June 6, 2021.

Facilities with 75% or more completed vaccinations for staff are listed here. This list is as of June 16, 2021.

CDC’s COVID Data Tracker provides this information:

Recent updates to CDC’s Tracker:

  • The County View tab now includes Expanded Vaccination coverage maps with the addition of percent of each population of interest who has received at least one dose of vaccine
  • The stats bar at the top of the site now includes level of community transmission and enhanced visualizations
  • Users can now stratify Trends in Emergency Department Visits by age group

NHSN Nursing Home Covid-19 Data Dashboard shows this information as of early morning June 14, 2021:

A word about submitting staff and resident COVID vaccinations to NHSN.  Early this week, CMS announced that about 2,500 LTC facilities have yet to report vaccination data as required.   If your facility is one of those, I strongly encourage you to submit your vaccination data by 11:59pm Sunday, June 20th or your facility will be fined.  CMS has given you a 7-day reprieve for such reporting, but your “luck” will run out at midnight June 21st and you can expect to receive a CMP fine for failure to comply.  The penalties are stiff, so this is no time to be non-compliant!

Reminder to all LTCFs – check your CASPER folder at least weekly for a letter from CMS.  No letter is good news but continue to keep submitting data and checking that folder.  If you need more information on what the non-compliance letters look like, requirements, penalties and tips to be compliant, check out SimpleLTC/Briggs’ COVID-19 reporting fines: How to keep CMS out of your wallet.
