The August 2022 Performance Score Reports (PSRs) for the Skilled Nursing Facility Value-Based Purchasing (SNF VBP) Program are now available to download via the Quality Improvement and Evaluation System (QIES)/Certification and Survey Provider Enhanced Reports (CASPER) reporting system.
The August 2022 PSRs provide SNFs their performance information for the FY 2023 SNF VBP Program year, including the incentive payment multiplier (IPM) CMS will apply to SNF Medicare fee-for-service Part A claims in FY 2023 (October 1, 2022, through September 30, 2023).
SNFs may submit correction requests to their performance score up to 30 days following this report being made available. SNFs must submit correction requests to SNFVBP@rti.org with the subject line ‘SNF VBP Review and Correction Inquiry’ along with your SNF’s CMS Certification Number and name, correction request, and reason for requesting the correction.
As finalized in the FY 2023 SNF PPS final rule, CMS suppressed the use of SNF readmission measure data for purposes of FY 2023 scoring and payment adjustments in the FY 2023 Program year because the continuing effects of the COVID-19 public health emergency inhibited CMS’s ability to make fair national comparisons of SNFs’ performance.
