CMS released the draft on September 1, 2022 which gives LTC providers a chance to look it over and digest the significant changes it will bring. We’ll look at what will be new, what will be different and what will be missing from the MDS Item Set we are currently using (v1.17.2). MDS Coordinators, Administrators, Preadmission Screeners, Discharge Planners, Social Workers – any member of the IDT that works with the MDS will benefit from this preview of the changes. ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Mary Madison, RN, RAC-CT, CDP is a registered nurse with 49 years of experience in the healthcare field – 45+ years in the long-term care industry. Mary has held positions of director of nursing in a 330-bed SNF, director of nursing in two 60-bed SNFs, reviewer with Telligen (Iowa QIO), director of continuing education, manager of clinical software support, clinical software implementer and clinical educator. Mary is a Certified Resident Assessment Coordinator (AAPACN) and a Certified Dementia Practitioner (NCCDP). Mary has conducted numerous MDS trainings and other LTC educational sessions across the country in the past 2+ decades. She joined Briggs Healthcare as their LTC/Senior Living Clinical Consultant in July 2014.
