CMS has posted the nursing home COVID-19 data for the week ending June 11, 2023.

Comparing the June 11, 2023 data to the May 28, 2023 data shows these changes:

  • Resident primary vaccination completion rate decreased 0.2% again these past 2 weeks;
  • Residents up to date with vaccines decreased 0.1% these past 2 weeks;
  • Staff primary vaccination completion rate decreased 0.1% these past 2 weeks;
  • Staff up to date remained unchanged these past 2 weeks;
  • An additional 6,721 resident cases were confirmed this week;
  • 218 resident deaths were reported this past week;
  • An additional 4,730 staff cases were confirmed during this past week and
  • 8 fewer staff deaths were reported for this past 2-week period (likely is a data correction).

Be sure to review your facility’s vaccination rates on the list of every nursing home with recent resident and staff vaccination rates and other pertinent data as this data will be used for completing the COVID-19 Matrix during survey. State surveyors look at this data in preparation for your survey. You’ll also need to know your current rate (as reported to NHSN) and provide it to the survey team entering your facility. This data is current as of the week ending June 11, 2023.

The end of the PHE took place at 11:59pm on Thursday, May 11, 2023.

As of May 11, 2023, COVID-19 Community Levels (CCLs) and COVID-19 Community Transmission Levels are no longer calculatable; associated visualizations have been removed from COVID Data Tracker. The “COVID-19 Integrated County View” tab has been renamed “COVID-19 Vaccinations by County.” County-level hospitalization data will be available at COVID-19 Hospitalizations, Deaths, and Emergency visits by Geographic Area.

The above data was posted June 26, 2023.
