CMS posted Transmittal 216 – Revision to SOM Appendix A – Hospitals on July 21, 2023.
This transmittal includes updates of the interpretive guidance for §482.13(c)(2) – The patient has the right to receive care in a safe setting. This new material carries both an effective and implementation date of July 21, 2023.
The last 4 pages of this 5-page Transmittal identifies the revisions. As usual, look for the red ink.
