It’s April and you know what that means – the new Medicare cards are in the mail to people enrolling in Medicare for the first time.  Current Medicare beneficiaries will get their new cards on a rolling basis over the coming months.*

CMS is hosting another Special Open Door Forum on Thursday, April 5th to share:

  • Updates about the new Medicare card mailing
  • Information on how people with Medicare can look up their new Medicare card number or print a replacement card on MyMedicare.gov
  • Updates on resources for partners.

The SODF is from 12:30pm to 1:30pm ET.  To participate:

Dial-In Number:  1-800-837-1935

Conference ID #: 7065199

Provider systems need to be able to accept the new MBIs now because people enrolling in Medicare for the first time are getting their cards with the new numbers. Check cms.gov/newcard often for the most up-to-date information.

Feedback and questions on the New Medicare Card Project can be sent to: Partnership@cms.hhs.gov.
