MedPAC Report to the Congress: Medicare Payment Policy

Above are the initial paragraphs of the MedPAC News Release regarding the March 2021 Report to Congress.  This is a 3-page News Release that summarizes their recommendations.

The Executive Summary is 18 pages.

The entire Report to Congress is 531 pages in length.  (I remember the days when I received these MedPAC reports via USPS mail.)

I’ve excerpted the Table of Contents for your preview.  As you can see, there’s something for everyone.  I recommend that you review the Executive Summary as well as the Chapters that are applicable to you as a provider.   I also encourage you to look at the other Chapters to learn more about those entities.  Medicare funding/reimbursement is really a village, so to speak.  We all treat and care for Medicare beneficiaries and that number continues to grow with Baby Boomers as well as the generations coming behind them.
