Additional and New Resources: COVID-19 Vaccines and Boosters

Earlier this week, I provided a couple of resources from the TMF QIN Networks – one of which was Fuel Versus Friction Tip Sheet designed to offer interventions for increasing vaccine uptake.

In this blog, I am providing access to the on-demand recording of the TMF QIN webinar with the same title as the Tip Sheet. The recording is 47 minutes in length and reviews methods to decrease friction and increase “fuel” to promote healthy behaviors in nursing homes in times of change.

Additionally, there is a one-page handout developed by the CDC.  Hang it in your office, breakroom, by the time clock, post it on your website, etc. to help encourage staff, patients/residents, visitors and volunteers to get their COVID-19 booster shot.

On Thursday, February 24, 2022, COCA (Community Outreach and Community Activity – an arm of the CDC) hosted a very interesting 1-hour webinar to provide:

  • Updated recommendations on COVID-19 vaccines for people who are moderately or severely immunocompromised,
  • Simplified recommendations for vaccination following receipt of passive antibody therapy, and
  • Summarized recommendations for COVID-19 vaccination by age group.

The webinar recording can be found here as well as the slides and information about obtaining CE credits.

I’m providing excerpted slides to pique your interest in the information presented, including some updated vaccine recommendations:
